Oil steadies a day after Iranian missile strike knocks prices

TOKYO (Reuters) - Oil prices steadied on Thursday a day after tumbling on concerns raised by an Iranian missile strike on Iraqi bases hosting U.S. forces. Brent crude futures were down 5 cents at $65.40 a barrel by 0728 GMT after a 4.1% fall on Wednesday. They are now lower than they were ahead of the Jan. 3 killing of Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani in a U.S. drone attack in Iraq, which prompted the Iranian response.West Texas Intermediate futures were up 1 cent to $59.63 a barrel..
