Oil slips as demand concern contends with U.S.-China trade hopes

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Oil prices edged lower on Friday and were on track for weekly losses as concerns about a slowed global economic growth outweighed hints of progress in the U.S.-China trade dispute. Brent crude futures fell 28 cents to $60.10 a barrel by 11:24 a.m. EDT (1524 GMT). U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures delivery fell 38 cents to $54.73 a barrel.Brent was on track to fall 2.1% for the week, its first decrease in five weeks.
