Nissan's North America head resigns ahead of expected restructuring

(Reuters) - Nissan Motor Co Ltd said on Thursday the head of its North American operations has resigned from the post, ahead of the Japanese carmaker's expected restructuring announcement later this month.José Luis Valls, the president and chairman of Nissan North America and executive vice president of the company, stepped down for family and personal reasons, effective June 15, the company said.Nissan said Jérémie Papin will oversee the region as vice chairman of North America.Reuters..
