LONDON (Reuters) - The difference in the price of spot gold and U.S. gold futures widened to more than $65 dollars an ounce on Tuesday as a rush of buying met with poor liquidity in the London market. Spot gold in London was up more than 3% at around $1,603 an ounce while March futures on the Comex exchange in New York were up more than 6.5% at $1,670 an ounce at 1304 GMT. The two instruments usually trade within a few dollars of one another.
